Guo Baolong, doctor of engineering, is a full professor (doctoral supervisor) in the School of Aerospace Science and Technology (SAST). Prof. Guo is the Shaanxi provincial outstanding teaching fellow, and the committee member of the steering board of electrical and electronic courses under the ministry of education. He is also the director of dean’s office of Xidian University. Prof. Guo has been editors for many academic journals, including Journal of IIHMSP (Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing), International Journal of CISIMA, Journal of Information Assurance and Security (IAS) etc. Prof. Guo currently is a committee member of the theory of electrical professional committee under China Electrotechnical Society. He is also the senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics, and has been the program chair or general co-chair of several international conferences such as IAS ’09, ISDA ’08. He teaches many courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, such as signals and systems, principles of intelligent systems, image engineering etc. Dr. Guo Baolong is the director of “signals and systems”, a national top-quality course. He is also the principle of Shaanxi provincial excellent teaching team, on the fundamental courses for the major of electronic signals and systems. Dr. Guo has hosted dozens of projects on education reform, such as the construction project of the national New Century online course, i.e., “signals and systems” and the construction of teaching materials of the national 100 high quality course. Prof. Guo has hosted and actively participated in over 20 research projects funded by the national natural science foundation, national 863 high-tech project and cooperating with ministry of national defense. Dr. Guo Baolong has published over 120 journal articles on Science China, Chinese Science Bulletin, Chinese Journal of Electronics, Chinese Journal of Computers, Acta Optica Sigica, Chinese Journal of Lasers, Nero computing, International Journal of ICIC、Journal of Information and Computational Science etc. Over 100 papers are indexed by SCE/EI. He has 6 books and monographs co-published by the science press and higher education press. Dr. Guo is granted with 6 prizes at the rank of provincial and ministerial level and above, and is authorized 7 national patents for his inventions.
